Visiting Pilots & Visitors. 

All pilots from other clubs are welcome to come and fly with us.

Visitors/Public are also welcome to visit us.  (Check flying times before visiting.  Please note - the access road is a bit rough but driveable.)

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL PILOTS AND VISITORS!

  1. Third parties, and members of the public, are informed that the BRCC Airfield is private.
  2. Model flying activities can cause potential injury to persons or damage to property.
  3. Individuals who enter the premises (BRCC Airfield) do so at their own risk.
  4. The BRCC and its members will not be held liable for any such injuries or damages.
  5. King Shaka ATC must be contacted on 032 436 5002 and informed that “The BRCC Box is ACTIVE” before any flying commences for both Model and Drone activities.  Once flying activities have stopped ATC must again be informed that “The BRCC Box is INACTIVE”.
  6. In the event of loss of control resulting in a model aircraft or RPAS "flyaway" event, ATC are to be notified immediately via telephone on 032 436 5002 or frequency on 118,45MHz.
  7. ATC may place any restrictions to flying which they see fit.
  8. If the BRCC box is active, while the FALE CTR is VMC and the weather conditions change to IMC the FALE ATC will contact the BRCC Safety Officer, on 071 545 7577 or the BRCC Chairman on 082 775 7765 to let him know that IMC has been declared. The Safety Officer shall immediately suspend ALL flying at the BRCC Airfield until such time as the FALE CTR is declared VMC again, FALE ATC will inform the BRCC Safety Officer of the change.
  9. The BRCC airfield will remain closed while the FALE CTR is IMC.
  10. All model and drone flying activities are to be conducted strictly in accordance with SA CAR & CATS Part 101 and SA CAR Part 94.06.10 and 94.06.11 and the BRCC Manual of Procedures.
  11. Visiting pilots and visitors alike, must familiarise themselves with our club Rules and Regulations before visiting the BRCC Airfield.
  12. Visiting pilots are required to pay Landing fees of R60.00 on each visit for the use of the BRCC airfield.


The runway size is 200 x 10m.

We are registered with SACAA and SAMAA and we have a Letter of Agreement with King Shaka International Airport to operate our airfield.
